Height is measured floor to top surface; thickness is the slab itself. Both are approximate — every piece is one of one.
The surface reaches the end of the table and refuses to stop: it folds and pours to the floor in one unbroken sheet, the rings breaking open across the face of the fall. Halfway down, the wood still seems to be moving.
One slab carried over the end and down to the floor, mitred at the fold so the grain runs on unbroken through the fall.
