Cloud and vein drift through pale stone the way light moves inside ice — cream giving way to honey and slate at the surface, then sinking somewhere deeper. The oval carries no corner to interrupt the drift, and each seam wanders quietly to its own end. Set on two solid columns of the same stone, the top seems lit from within.
